SOME of them can be...IMHO, the Organic Root Situmlator Carrot oil (more of a creamy texture than a true oil) IS nice on the ends. However, you can just add a heavier oil (say shea) to keep your ends nice.
The Profective Healthy Ends(using currently) and the Elasta QP Mango Butter are really good. Instead of using the distilled water I'm going to try to use some of my leave in conditioners I have laying around on my ends every day. So far my African Pride Hair and Scalp spray is doing an excellent job with the Healthy Ends. I'm hoping this combo keeps me in good shape for winter also.

Are creams specifically designed to target dry ends any better than say.....spraying distilled water and a leave in and adding a touch of oil?

I'm not sure
, however, i do the latter... if i need something a lil heavier, then i'll use S-Curl moisturizer. "Cremes" are not ruled out.. I just haven't used any yet...
