I currently am in a sew-in weave. I need help on how to care for it. My hair is natural also, if that matters. Products rec's and how-to's on how to wash and care for my sew-in would be very helpful.:)

Here is the link of the 2006 sew in weave challenge, it will help you:

I've posted you also my own regimen:

  • Moisturize once a day with my homemade lotion.
  • Oil my hair under the weave once a week after washing with my homemade pomade or others oils (olive, monoï, carrot).
  • Once by week : Cowash with diluted conditionner in a bottle.
  • Shampoo and deep conditionning every 6 weeks after removing weaves or other style.
  • Get the style redone immediately after airdrying.
:)
