My ongoing search for a daily moisturizer continues. My hair really likes Nexxus Humectress as a leave-in after washing. I'm thinking about using it as a daily. Have any of you ever tried it?
It is a moisturizing condish. Some proteins are more moisturizing then they are structurizing but I'm sure some of the "protein gurus" may step in and explain. There is an ancient thread by Supergirl that explained all about different proteins and why some are really moisturizers. If I recall correctly, wheat, milk, soy, etc. are moisturizing. I remember this 'cuz I've been a nexxus girl since before LHCF and as a newbie, I too was concerned about whether humectress was a moisturizing what what the proteins listed in the ingredients.
Thanks, Neroli. So would it still be a good conditioner to use regularly for cowashes? That is what I am currently using for cowashes and I do them anywhere from 1 - 5 days a week.

Yep, it's great for CW but I can't afford to use it like that -- humectress is expensive, girl! My compromise is to use Sally's generic humectress for CW and use the real thing for deep condish. BTW, Sally's generic is about as close to the real thing I've found so far because it tracks the exact same ingredients and in the same order as the real thing. Even smells and feels the same and runs about $5.99 for 16oz. The suave versions doesn't even pretend to have the same ingredients and doesn't feel nor smell the same. Sally's version is far far superior and when I'm in a $$ crunch, I use their thereppe and humectress version until my bank acount builds back up.
Yea I do have the nexxus therappe generic, but I had bought the real humectress before i found the generic brand at sally's! i definitely plan on using that once i run out of the real version. it has really lasted me a long time! it's been about a month now.
