Can you still transition if you...

Lol...yes you can. Transitioning is just stopping whatever chemical you're doing, basically. So if you stopped texlaxing, you'd be transitioning. Or if you mean texlaxing instead of relaxing, then I guess you're transitioning to texlaxed hair.

OP that is not a crazy question. I have been rolling the idea around in my head for a few weeks now. All my stretching techniques (DC, henna etc.) are helping me to stretch longer and longer. So long that I am not seeing the breakage I used to see at the demarcation line when deep in a stretch. I don't want to BC so texlax may be the way to go for me. What is your texlax reggie?

Are you trying to transition to natural hair? If that's the case then NO! Texlaxing is a chemical process and if you were trying to go natural then you wouldn't be unless you get rid of all chemically altered hair.

<<<< Confused about your question. More details please.

Are you wanting to transiton to natural hair from texlaxed hair?

or

Are you asking if your texlaxed hair can "turn into" natural hair?

I thought you were asking the first question.. but now I'm confused by the most recent responses.

I am a little confused by your question too, but I will try to answer it...

I am transitioning from texlaxed to natural. People often times consider me 100% natural and sometimes I feel like I am because of how close the textures are... but I['m not. I do feel like my transition is a lot easier because my 2 textures blend very well. So the answer is yes.

I think the phrasing of your question may be throwing people off.

Can you still transition if you texlax your hair, is the question you asked. The answer would be, no. You have to stop texlaxing to transition to natural.

SN: Why do people think that texturizers, Brazillian blow outs, and kiddie perms aren't chemicals?

I think there is a world wide conspiracy to misinform and confuse us. These chemicals are marketed as less harmfull when infact they carry the same risk as a "perm"

But the correct knowledge & information is out there. OP did good by asking the question! It's the only way she's gonna get the facts and various opinions so she can make her next move an informed one.
