I ask because it seems like lye relaxers doesn't have the lasting straigning effort that no-lye has on my hair so I would like to go back to no-lye but I dont' want to cause more damage on my hair either.

Also any suggestions on a good no-lye relaxer for fine but thick hair would be appreciated. Something with a lasting effort so that at 6 weeks it doens't look like a hot mess.

I went from Affirm lye to Soft and Beautiful no lye without a hitch. I had the same problem as you, within 2 weeks I looked like I needed another relaxer.

I used to use Desiner's Touch Lye but now I use Profective No-Lye. I have a review of it in my journal, entry #4 on page 3.

Thanks, Proctectiv Relaxer was the one that I was thinking about trying. I read your review and I think that will be the keeper.

I hope you like it, if you try it. I won't use anything else. It comes with two applications in one box so if you do choose it, you're set for the next couple of months.
