I know there is already a thread on "kitchen" issues but I would like a DEFINITIVE answer to controlling the "beedeebee's!" Shaving them is not an option.

I have been dying to wear more protective styles (wear braidouts 95% of the time) but the "bee's" are TOO embarrassing!

PLEASE HELP!!

Just put some type of moisturizer on it and tie your edges down. I like to use S-Curl and an oil (jojoba, monoi, etc). Sometimes i will use a boar bristle brush and then tie my edges down with a silk scarf. I do this at night and in the morning, I have flat edges :) Hope this helps and let me know if I need to elaborate more.

I have the same problem. I am trying to grow it out where I was shaved. I cant keep dem suckas down to save my life. I want them slick

I dab on a little water and Vonte's Silk Effects Styling Tool, brush it with a boar bristle brush and then tie my hair down with a scarf.

what works for me is ORS fertilizing temple balm...put some of this on your bb's, brush, and those suckers lay down SLICK :) ...HTH

WHEW! I can't thank y'all enough! I'm going to try EVERYTHING you ladies suggested. Something's gotta work

THANK YOU ALL!

On but Off Topic: I am dying over here at bee-da-bees.
I too am from the tri-state and we call them beady beads
SOrry ...

Now ON topic: I would suggest trying several products before I shave them off ...

Those pomades men use that makes pretty waves (the names slip by me right now) should work very well in this area. Humectress as a leave in (just a little bit) will also keep the kitchen very soft as it grows in.
