I've been relaxing my hair since 2011 but I really haven't noticed many benefits from it and I really only feel a strong desire to do it in warm weather but even then it doesn't de-frizz my hair or really remove the curl well.
I haven't relaxed since June or July and probably won't till next May or so...
I was wondering if it would perhaps be safe to try something new and get a keratin treatment on my unrelaxed hair which would likely overlap into the relaxed hair since the difference isn't obvious.

You can but it will make the relaxed hair straight and the roots will keep their curl, just loosened.
