Can I use a dry shampoo

I do for twists I keep in for awhile. I use the Tresemme foam dry shampoo as the regular ones I'm not able to get out of my hair when it's in a textured state. I know some people use astringents like Witch Hazel as a substitute so you can always look into that. Or just dilute shampoo and use it in a a spray bottle or q-tip or whatnot.

I don't see the point. I only use dry shampoo when my hair is straightened.

The point is that style I want calls for less manipulation and I feel a dry shampoo would be good for my style.

But how will you brush it through? I have to brush it so my hair won't be white. I wouldn't want the base of my braids to be dusty looking. And the patting, combing or brushing would be more manipulation than normal washing.

I wouldn't suggest using any type of dry shampoo from a spray bottle on any braid hair.. It may leave a white build up. Fhrizzball I use Tresemme Foam Dry Shampoo too. It left my hair a greasy mess. I agree with you on witch hazel and dilute shampoo. I found these products to do wonders for braids if you not using a shampoo.

I think dry shampoos are kindof a joke--- w/the impossible white residue and all. But the ones posted above look a little different.
