I know there have been a lot of progress Pictures posted, but I was wonder where you are at now if two years ago you chopped it all off and started from scratch.

Really fuzzy pic, but this was two years after I started. I dyed my hair right at the start of my hair journey, and by this time, I had cut all of the dye out - so this is a straight two years of growth.

I had less than 2" of hair in the back and it wasn't even neck length and now I'm almost BSL; hoping to be BSB (below shoulder blade) by December 09. Pics in my siggy.

Hm, I don't have a recent photo, but I am now at 8 inches from 1 inch. The thing is I did not know how to care for my natural when I BC'ed in 2007. I also cut my hair a few times.

I BC'd in 2007 to 2 - 2.5" of hair. Please see siggy for where my hair is now. The pic is from earlier this year (I was APL) but I cut my hair shortly after that pic was taken. It's pretty much surpassed that length now as I'm between APL and BSL. I should hit BSL by Jan.

anyway how did you deal with the hair in the inbetween stage? this is my first time cutting it this short and I am wondering if it'll be hard to style when it grows longer on the sides lol

In between stages are extremely hard for me. I always want to even up my hair. But I made up my mind I won't do that. As soon as it was long enough for a weave I put one in. I would leave the weave in for a month at a time and give it about 1-2 weeks rest. I did that from April 2008 until now. Actually I haven't had a weave in almost 2 months. It's the longest I have stayed out of one in a while.

My sides were actually shorter than the back by a mile and they just "caught up". That's why it is important not to cut. Our hair knows what to do!! LOL

then i relaxed in nov 08 and tried to do a trim which ended up as a cut =[ nooooooo!

now june 09 progress

sept 09 progress and 7 months post relaxer... definitely transitioning back to natural; that hair was pretty!​

I felt that way in the beginning until I saw other ladies who started off being a shortie like me. Just continue healthy hair practices and you will eventually see length. If/when you feel the urge to cut it, just weave it up until the urge passes.
