Quick question. I have been a 4b natural for 3 years then after awhile I started to heat train my hair straight and a few months ago I dis a BKT. Now is rather just be relaxed. I just need to know if this is safe. I have tried to do a search but no luck. Thanks in advance ladies.

Why would you want to go from a semi-permanent straightening process to a permanent one? I am asking as a person who went in the completely opposite direction: relaxed to BKT to transitioning to fully natural. I'm not judging you or suggesting what you should or shouldn't do with your hair, but if you've already been through the whole process, then you know what the results will be. Best of luck, whatever you decide!

The bkt wears out pretty fast and I am not.too impressed with it. I don't mind the perm process as my hair is very thick and difficult to handle as a natural and that's why I heat trained and then uses bkt. The bkt wears off after like 2 months and its too expensive for me to deal with.

I get you. If straight hair without the struggle is your goal, then you should relax. I gave up relaxing for my own reasons, so I guess I thought you stopped permanently straightening your hair for your own reasons as well. Rock on, chica--I'm not throwin' salt!

Your situation is similar to mine. I was natural for about 5 years then started BKTs to replace rollersetting my hair straight. I did them for 2 years then decided to just get a texturizer since it gave my hair similar texture with less hassle and health risk. I got my texturizer maybe 3-5 months after my last BKT? Can't remember for sure how long it had been, but it was long enough that I was considering whether to do another BKT or get the texturizer. I had no issues after getting the text. done.

If I were you... I'd grow my hair out first before relaxing. Your strands have been through too many processes at this point; from the heat training to BKT... I doubt your hair will even be near optimal condition if you relax now.
