Can I do a rinse over a rinse in my situation?

I don't know a WHOLE lot about rinses. In March I had a relaxer and a rinse following it. I used to foam kind that Kelly from Destiny's Child did an ad for. Well the results were very subtle at first, but it seems like the more I washed my hair the more visible it was. For the first couple of months I would see it slowly rinsing out when I washed my hair. But now the water runs clear and the color is nowhere near gone. It isn't painfully visible without light, but in the sun, it is very very visible. I am not liking this because I'm finding it hard to match this color with a phony pony. I purchased a bun about a month ago and it looked great when I put it on. But when I left the house the difference in color was tremendous. I'm sure that this lightening of color has been caused by the sun, but I want my dark hair back. This time I want a jet black rinse. Would I damage my hair if I have a black rinse applied over my previously rinsed hair after my next touchup? I fear that it might not take because I don't even know if the first rinse is completely gone. I'm just so frustrated because I am not liking this color. I have been wanting raven hair forever. I've also read of some bad experiences with black rinses and the color getting over everything. So does anyone have any suggestions on some gentle rinses? Thanks in advance.

I don't see it as being a problem, just know that some rinses can make your hair drier and moisterize accordingly.

I stopped using rinses b/c they would run & rinse out fairly quickly. I just started using Bigen (permanent color but no peroxide, no amonia) and I've washed my hair 3 x's since and the color looks just as good as it did the first day.

You may want to give it a try.

I dont think there is a problem. U are supposed to apply a rinse every 4 weeks anyways. So applying it a week early would not do you any damage. be sure to moisturize if your hair is getting dry. As far as an alternative to a black rinse...some people recommended getting a dark brown such as coffee bean.

A rinse applied immediately after a relaxer can remain far longer than four to six weeks, acting like permanent color. Still, you should be okay to apply another rinse (semi permanent color).
