How often can you do a rinse?

Hey Ladies,

I just did a rinse in my hair not too long ago, but I can already see that it's starting to fade in my ends (I did it with a relaxer, so I didn't use any heat). Next time, I wanna do my rinse seperate so I can use heat to hold onto the color more but what's a decent amount of time to wait inbetween rinses?

I usually do like every six weeks. The heat really does make it last.
