I'm gonna go purchase HE semi permanent hair color and I thought I heard before that getting a rinse was good for the hair because it coats the hair shaft, in turn protecting it...does that sound right??
Ok now that we have all of that straightened out...LOL!
Clairol Natural Instincts is a fine color to use (not too damaging) but doesn't carry the benefits of a true "rinse" IMO because it does contain low levels of peroxide which, to me, should negate any possible benefit. I would bootcamp with this product just like dye because of the peroxide.
Rinses on the other hand have an average PH of 2.5 which helps keep the cutilces sealed (along witht he cones rinses usually include) and add a lot of shine to the hair,. They can help protect the hair and leave it less susceptible to damage.
Natural Instincts is a demi-permanent color and may not rinse out depending ont he color you use. Just FYI. It's good stuff and I recommend it highly - but your goals are important to know and keep in mind when you pick a haircolor product.
