Can/Do products that tingle...

when put on your scalp (i.e. KeraCare's dry&itchy scalp deep conditioner) act as a stimulant for increasing blood flow to the scalp?

If so, can that alone take the place of scalp massages? Or is it just a tingly sensation that doesn't do much except that?

I have the deep conditioner mentioned above and it makes my scalp feel as if I've just put pepperment oil on it.

I really don't know ....but I think it doesn't do anything. I used a conditioner by St. Ives before that contained peppermint and I hated it. The mint smell gave me a headache and then I didn't like that "cooling" feeling on my scalp. I couldn't wait to wash my hair again. I rather massage my scalp.

I don't really think so. I know that one of the ingredients used to get that tingle in one conditioner i've tried is menthol, and its just like that medicated lip medex you put on your skin...just a topical feeling. I could be wrong, though.

Hilarious, that's the exact same conditioner I was referring to.
