Can anyone recommend a good conditioner for cowashing?

All of them are moisturizing since they are all condtioner cleasners...but guess what??? In the other thread, someone mentioned that Sallys has their version that is under 10.00.

I will be getting some to compare. You should try that first!

RZ~

When you get it can you make a post comparing it to Wen? I would really appreciate it. I've been tempted to purchase wen and if this is comparable but cheaper. Then hey.

I agree wholeheartedly with this post. I see the OP is white so this line is perfect for her.

Livesoundtech, the WEN line has cleansing conditioners for ethnic and white hair. You can also purchase them on www.qvc.com and shipping is cheaper than the Chaz Dean store. I purchase mine from qvc.com. I don't do the standing order, I like to order what I want when I want it. Just put WEN in the search field and voila...all the WEN products will come up. I only ordert he cleansing conditioners but other ladies get a few of the other products in this line as well, but like RZILYNT says, they are a bit pricey.

ETA: I hear Sally's has a similar cleansing conditioner that is considerably cheaper called Hair One but they are selling out real fast. If you have a Sally's in your area, perhaps you should check it out. SelfStyled just started a thread on it right here. Check that out too.

Thanks, I'm definitely giving WEN a shot. I've realized that my scalp was oily because I was using way too many oily products (go figure) just to avoid having a dry scalp. I've cut out all the bad products, so now I'm back to dry scalp and dry hair... but hopefully WEN will help! I'm really confident about it. I'm probably going to try the Fig one first.

Thanks for your reply!

You're welcomed honey. Happy Hair growing.

I've used Suave Humectant, Herbal Essence conditioners, Sunsilk (not really anymore) anything that is moist...Aussie Moist was good. Organix conditioners were ok, but not for co-washing

do you live near an Ulta?

http://www.ulta.com

i cowashed with their Ultimate Smooth Conditioner.. and i swear, it had more slip than ANY other conditioner i have ever used!!! more so than the ORS replenishing conditioner, more than Joico Silk Result... it is AMAZING!!!

i also used a bit as a leave-in conditioner before rollersetting, and i have never had a smoother set...

^^^ LADIES PLEASE TRY THIS PRODUCT!!!! it's only $4.99!!! and it will CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!

I tried this today and I really like it. It is actually one of the best conditioners I've used for co-washing.
I will most likely alternate this with my Suave Tropical Coconut.

I'm 10 weeks post so I can only imagine how good it will be when I'm freshly relaxed.

Thanks for posting

Okay Chardai, you and Pookie gat me wanting to try this one too. I just saved it in my favorites. I'll try to order it when I bring down my current stash of products for the sake of space:grin:.

I'm glad it was only $5 (actually $4 with my 20% of coupon) I've been a real PJ these past few months.

I'm really suprised that for so cheap it worked pretty well. I experienced almost immediate softness and the slip was great...seeing that my roots are super thick and unmanageable right now (10 weeks post)

Make sure you post your review whenever you try it..

Don't worry, I will. I  to brag about a product that works so well on my hair that it makes me wanna:drool::grin:.

I absolutely love Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Threat conditioner--it's organic and full of essential oils. Best of all, it's really light and leaves my hair very shiny.

Pantene Beautiful Lengths conditoner for co-washing

For a great deep conditioning treatment try Nexxus Humectress Conditioner mixed w/ Coconut Oil, Castor Oil & EVOO. Plastic cap for one hour :)

Okay ladies I tried another one and you would never guess which one. I tried cowashing with the Eqyss Premier Creme Rinse Conditioner and my hair went super soft, even my new growth calmed right down and became very manageable. I think I especially liked it because it's great for dry brittle hair and has no wax, silicones, alcohol or oils in it. It has natural emollients that smooth the cuticles very nicely and minimizes flyaway hairs leaving the hair incredibly soft and detangled:yep::lick:.

I'm not sure how much protein these have, but I use Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose or White Camellia for co-washes and DC's. My hair loves this stuff!

Y'all are making WEN sound real good though, so I may try the Sally's version before I hit up QVC.

I might give that one a shot as well. It's a bit pricey, but it might be worth it.

I like using Giovanni conditioners for co-washing. Tea tree triple treat conditioner is really good, but soon I will be trying the smooth as silk conditioner (giovanni products are organic and contain no/low synthetic ingredients). As for a deep conditioner I feel that you'd benefit from the nutrifix deep conditioner that giovanni also makes because it's light and won't make your scalp feel greasy (I have dry hair and I also used to use a little of the DC as a leave-in because it was very moisturizing but didn't weigh my hair down). But if you're looking for a more standard brand/cheapie conditioner I like VO5 and white rain. Great for co-washing, very inexpensive, and leaves your hair feeling very soft and smooth :). I also like the Aussie Moist line a lot (including their 3 minute miracle deep conditioner).

Actually, the premier creme rinse price is not that high, not as high as Ovation Creme rinse anyway. The price of the Eqyss Premier creme rinse is wayyy lower than WEN but I like WEN too. The good thing is the creme rinse has no cones, waxes, etc and that's why I would consider it as an ongoing cowash conditioner so much so, I'm actually thinking about purchasing it by the gallon.
