Can a dry scalp lead to more shedding

My hair has been shedding more thatn usual lately and I am wondering if it could be from a dry scalp. I don't see any flakes but it doesn't seem as oily as usual either. I haven't oiled it in awhile and the cold in North Carolina had been terrible. Do you think this could be it? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

i think that could definitely be it. my ex best friend suffered from a dry scalp and she was always shedding as a result. sometimes flakes, sometimes not. i kept telling her to moisturize her scalp more often. her scalp was itchy too so i told her to use something medicated. she didn't have eczema or psoriasis or anything like that. she just never moisturized enough.
moisturize, girl. it's the first step in troubleshooting the problem. she if there is a change in the shedding pattern.

Thanks Ebony. I just oiled my scalp with a little aura pomade and wildgrowth oil. I was going to order the hair rejuenator and jane carter nourish and shine this week so I will try them on my scalp soon. Thanks again

ooooh, jane carter. i like her products more than i like her. she's not to friendly /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif. i actually love love love /images/graemlins/grin.gifthe smell of her shea butter (she has no ingredients listed on it of course!). i use it on my body more than my hair and i like her revitalizing leave-in conditioner and her clear hair spritz (it's very light) but i would never put her relaxer in my hair! it made some girls i know hair fall out and slightly damaged my sister's hair /images/graemlins/mad.gif! it's all good now though.
