I'm planning to use it on Friday evening, the henna i'm using comes already mixed, its called henne color in Auburn..here's the picMahalialee4 said:Henna Expert!!!splutter!!!lolol Well, what has worked for me was mixing it with hot, not boiling water, to avoid cooking the henna, 2 tsp. lime juice, adding olive oil (2 tsp. and 2tsp. castor oil if available, and let sit overnight by the register to keep it warm. Section my hair and apply it, wrap it in a plastic bag and let sit for a minimum of 3 hours. Rinse, Rinse, and Rinse, and Rinse. When dry, saturate your hair with olive oil and rinse rinse rinse. Then wrap it and go. You should be good for a week. Then do a mayonnaise treatment on it. Rinse and go. That will keep the fats, going, and your own body heat will cause the oils to saturate. I would not shampoo for a couple of weeks and just allow the henna to do its thing, but a conditioner wash would work better in between when you feel like it.This will give the henna time to show you the true color you achieved and to avoid extra dryness. So what color did you use? Bonjour Hope this helps.
Thanks for your help!! I'll keep in touchMahalialee4 said:Heh, Den 1. Olive oil: It's like a hot oil treatment. It prevents the hair from getting brittle.
Hellman's Mayonnaise is the better one.
It depends on how soon you plan to shampoo it. Within the same week. Hope you like the color. Let me know how it goes.
