I hope you don't mind me calling you out like this...I read from your siggy that you use SE no lye relaxer, i currently use the lye version but my hair is too wavy i would like to switch what is your experience with the no lye? did it cause dryness? does it get the hair straight. thanks

Hey Girl,

No problem! :)

I love SE..I have no problem with it. I normally just apply and then rinse which gives me more of a slight texturizer look. It doesn't dry my hair out at all.

For the weave I just put in, I worked the relaxer in this time to get it straight so it can match my weave better and I don't have to use heat as much. Again, silky, straight and smooth.

I would recommend going for it!! So again if you don't want it super straight, just don't work the relaxer in.

Hope I helped out a bit!;)

Thank-you very much for your reply!!!!
I'm hoping for the super straight look, however the lye in regular gives me a texlaxed look which i'm not fond of since i transitioned from texturizer to relaxed due to problems with tangles and excessive breakage. I feel very confident about my decision now to go with the no-lye version. Did you receive any burning? thanks again

No burning at all. And I used to get crazy scabs when the hairdresser use to do my hair back in the day. (i can't believe I don't go anymore.!! I was a permanent resident at the salon:lachen: )
Anyway, just base your scalp real good and you should be fine.
