I know you've probably been asked this before but how exactly do you do your 2 strand twists. Your twistouts look AWESOME! and I'd love to try the 2strand cornrowing (sp?)
Thanx

The 2 strand twists (single) or the 2 strand twists (flat)? I think that you're referring to the "flat" ones...

Here's what I do in order..

BASIC REGIME
1) Pretreat w/VO5
2) Poo with CON or Motions
3) Condition with Motions Moisture +
4) Motions leave in
5) Comb through
6) Mist entirely with Hot 6 Oil, or Wonder 8 Oil

I'm hoping that u know how to make "flat twists"....twist, pick up scalp hair, twist, pick up scalp hair, etc...

6) Make 1 vertical twists, going from scalp to neck (refer to May's pics). Try to make sure that each twist is tangle free... this will allow your hair to dry tangle free

7) Leave about 1" of hair untwisted.

8) Mist the 1" end hair with your water based moisturizer 1st, followed by your oil. This to make sure that your ends are wet & oily....which helps to keep them from frizzing when dry. ( I use my leave in then Hot 6)

9) Proceed to add your roller with end paper. Roll up to your scalp. (I use oiled & or steamed sponge rollers cuz they're easier to sleep in. Also, if you're shoulder length or longer, rolling to your scalp will help to "control" your wet & oily hair. As the hair drys, lower the rollers down to just the ends. This will prevent having unwanted "curls" along with your waves... unless u prefer having curls too).

10) Repeat steps 6-9 until u have made 4 vertical flat twists
(2 on each side... refer to my May 03 pics)
**** If u wanna avoid having a center part in your hair, then make 5 vertical twists.... 1 down the middle & 2 on each side. ****

THAT'S IT....

U can sit under a warm hooded dryer to speed up the drying time if need be.

When your hair is COMPLETELY DRY down to the ends....
1) Dip your fingers in oil. This prevents your finger tips from absorbing the oil in your hair, which leads to frizzies
2) Untwist each flat twist & separate the strands to give a fuller look
3) Fluff the hair to cover the parts

Maintenance

1) Add distilled water til damp. Mist with Hot 6 oil
2) Retwist hair in it's original sections
3) Proceed with rewetting & re-oiling the ends, add roller, etc

That's it

.

I'm able to keep a "fresh" looking twist out for a week. The first few days I'll wear it out... the last few days I'll gather it back into a bun (very heavily saturated with S-Curl).

I hope that I didn't leave out any steps.... If u have any questions, hit me up

Peachtree,

I must say that your directions are so descriptive and on-point that how could anyone go wrong. I have been reading so much about the braid/twist outs. I am going to give it a try tomorrow night after I work out. If it does not come out right, at least I have Friday to try and fix it. I am going to go and purchase most of the products mentioned, especially the V05 conditioners (who knew something so cheap, works so well). I really enjoy reading all of the information that is shared here.

P.S. Peachtree your hair is the bomb diggy girl! You have convinced me to give it a try and hopefully my hair will grow back to the length I am used to.
