I just purchased a jar of this last night and I am absolutley in love

. I left it on for about 30 minutes. How long do u guys leave it on for a deep conditioner and do any of u use heat with it ?

I've only used it as a deep conditioner once. I don't think I've ever used heat but I'm not sure. I usually leave it on for 5 minutes.

thanks for the responses everyone... i wont leave it in less than 30 minutes.. i like to leave my moisturizing conditioners in for atleast 30 minutes.

Since i LOVE keracare humecto I usually apply some of that along with the lust, or I might use the mizani moisturfuse. I tend to 'mix' all of my conditioners together in the shower (a little of each), for example, last night after i washed out the aphoghee treatment, i used the aphoghee balancing moisturizer mixed with humecto mixed with LUST. I do go overboard but maybe tonight i'll try just the lust and see how my hair turns out.

and not to mention i don't have that much time so i get the benefits of all in about 30 minutes. Sometimes (not often), I sit under the hooded dryer but if i do that, no longer than 15 mins. I find that the results are more 2 my liking when I use my own body heat (plastic bag on head with warm towel over) or just with a plain ole showercap.

Thanks CH! Maybe I'll give it another try. Tonight I plan to try the Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner I recently purchased. I hope I have the same results that Supergirl, Hairlove, and Cindy have experienced. Humecto is my beloved at the moment too.

I just tried it last night and I loved it

.
I only left it on for a couple of minutes. Next time, I will use if for deep conditioning.

I have used it as a deep conditioner w/o heat with a shower cap and towel for 5-10 mins. If I had more time I would use my heat cap for 30mins. I mostly use it as a leave-in conditioner on my girl as part of their daily swimmer hair regimen.

Better late than never: I leave LUST on for approx 30 mins with no heat.

I have left it on though for less, eg 10 mins no heat and the hair was still slippery and detangled.

Thanks again everyone. I wish I tried this b4 I just bought a bottle of Humecto...ill still finish it though. This LUST really agrees with my hair.

*** Has anyone here ever tried anything else from the product line ?

I have a question for those of you who use LUST, how many uses do you get out of the jar? I saw that it costs 8.99 and the jar seems pretty small. I'd probably use half the jar in one wash. Does a little go a long way??

Good question. I'm sure it depends on hair length too.

I'd say I get about 10 uses maybe. That's off the top of my head guess. I need a good 3 tablespoons of it per session. Maybe 2.

I have done my first conditioner only day today with EVOO (put it on this afternoon under a pastic cap and a doorag and took a walk in the sun), Motions CPR (1/2 HR), AND THEN...LUST. This product is wonderful so far. My hair seems to be drying with a nice soft feel to it and I had an exellent comb thru thanks to the advice of this board.

I touched it up with my john freida relax serum and some profective leave in.

THANKS!

Girl, I don't even need to use half the jar in one wash.

If you leave a little water in your hair, the conditioner will smooth on easily (meaning you shouldn't need a huge amount). Then again, everyone is different. Some like to slather it on. I like to slather conditioners on too, but NOT the ones that are on the expensive side.

so um.... i hate to sound like a total duffus

Hope you're feeling much better these days. LUST stands for L'Oreal Unfrizz Smoothing Treatment.

I'm a slatherer. I get about 2 uses out of a jar of LUST. Depending on how much time I have, I leave it on my hair for 5 minutes to an hour.

Wow Tee. I am very skimpy when it comes to using my LUST.

I have even used a little for a leave in conditioner from time-to-time. This allows me to get many uses out of one jar. When I open up my second jar (yes, I'm STILL using my very first jar
grin.gif
) I will keep track of how many uses I get out of it. Now the conditioners I use for daily rinsing, I slather those cheapies on like it's water.

Oh yeah. I learned this from Jade (I think it was Jade). When it's time to condition my hair, I don't squeeze out all of the water in my hair. By leaving in some of the water (not enough to having it dripping all over the place or anything like that), I'm able to spread my conditioner on really good (making a little - not a teny tiny amount - but a little) go a long way.

Can you buy LUST at Walgreens too??? If so, is it cheaper than at Sally's ($8.99)?

Check out the link above that I just posted. Since it's on their web site, I'm sure they sell it.
