Calling all ladies who use S-curl activator....

How often do you use it? When do you use it (in the morning, after a wash)? Do you use it on your roots and/or the length of your hair? And does it make it greasy? My hair is very dry due to the weather, would you recommend it to help combate the problem?

It dosn't make my hair greasy. I have used it as a regular moisturizer right after washing my hair, but it didn't really feel moisturized afterward. I have also used it on dry hair and gotten better results. The best results I get however is diluting it with some water (about 3/4 s-curl and 1/4 water) and spraying on dry hair before braiding/twisting for a braidout/twistout. Diluting it helps cut down any greasiness and I found that for me the texture of it kind of stayed the same so diluting it was good to help the product stretch longer. I also use a tiny bit daily on my rollersets to keep them moisturized. HTH

Iuse S Curl almost every day (morning). I usually put it on the length of my hair and seal it with my sheabutter olive oil mix (I surge first). I may do it every other day. It depends on how my hair feels to me, I feel that it holds the moisture in my hair and bun all day and I wear buns every single day, so all I really care about right now is moisture not curls or other hairstyles that require leaving my hair out. It has been working quite well for me. My hair has grown a lot and I very rarely see any breakage.

I used to use it in the morning, not everyday though, but it's too sticky! So now I use it after I wash...I guess it makes it smoother and soft, but too soft to the point where it breaks easily

Yes, I use it too and it's great for newgrowth!!! It makes it soft like a 6 month old baby's hair!!! i love this stuff! Well, maybe a year old baby's hair! Tee Hee!!
