I know there's a similar thread on this but I can't find it. Anyways I'm finally gonna get a Sedu! So what temp setting do you use? Also do you consider your hair fine, medium or thick? Thanks.

I have fine 4A-B hair...I use 180 regularly and 200 the closer I am to touch up time...hope that helps

Oh and I think you made a great decision in purchasing this iron...its the BEST one I've ever used..I really hope it works well for you too!!!

Congratulations on your wise purchase! I'm a 4A very thick appx waist length natural. I use 180 most of the time, with 1 very paced & steady swipe. I advise trying the lower settings first, then working your way up to see what works best for you.

GOOD LAWD!!! I don't turn mines above 160. and I go SUPER FAST. It is hot enough to straighten my hair, but my hair is still full and has somewhat of a texture. My hair is thick, by the way....

I love my sedu but i'm still complaining because my plates don't close flat...i have to squeeze to get them to close...

:lachen: I should add that the 180 setting gives me the sleek bone straight look!

You may have a defect in your iron. Mine closes flat.

Thanks ladies! I currently use the Jilbere flat iron w/ the highest setting and my hair still doesn't get straight. I'll be sure to test the Sedu out in the 160-180 range.

I use mine on 180-200 degrees and get straight hair in about 30-45 minutes.
