Cake Mix Fragrance Oil

@ZebraPrintLover the better question is what haven't I been looking at? This is going to get me into trouble.

Here's my list so far; I love sweet scents for my hair :yep:
Cherryvanilla
lick me all over
vanilla cream frosting

How much do you think is a good quantity to buy? 4 fl? Does that seem a bit much? :ohwell::look:

@WhippedButterCreme, I am only getting 2oz to start off with it would take me forever to use 4oz if its strong as the reviews say. I mean its free shipping so if you gotta get it again thats fine.

I was looking at that Lick Me All Over and I also have Vanilla Cream Frosting.

The two ounce bottle is pretty big and if you're getting multiples you'll have it foe atleast a year

Love this thread. I went to the natural hair show this weekend & purchased some whipped shea in hawaiian punch, pink sugar & another sweet smell that I can't think of the name.

Anyhoo, I was thinking I could def do it myself for cheaper & this thread was right on time! Does anyone know the proper ratio for scenting stuff? TIA...

@nakialovesshoes, I am not sure at the moment put that can also depend on how strong you like your scents. Once I do some research I will be sure to post here.
I am looking for the ratios with oils, creams, and distilled water/aloe vera juice.

ETA:
For butters and/or moisturizers, I see 2 tsp of FO for 16oz

Ladies I frequently order from wholesalesuppliesplus.com and own about 15 fragerance oils. I'll tell y'all right now, Cake Batter smells like that fake liquid butter that goes on movie theatre popcorn :nono: I haven't used it in my products for this reason. Moroccan Sands is stinky too...do.not.buy. Unless you wanna smell musty.

Eta: Their fruity scents are delish! And the essential oil/ fragrence oil blends are really nice.

AyannaDivine, I end up taking Cake Batter Ice Cream off my list because Cupcake was cheaper and reviews said they smelled the same.
I am glad you said that about the fruity ones because I have a few on my list.

My list so far:

Cupcake
Cotton Candy
Kiwi Strawberry
Island Nectur
Lick Me all Over
Mango Papaya
Oatmeal, Milk, and Honey
Pink Berry Mimosa
Sugar Cookies
Tropical Spice
Vanilla Buttercream
Sex in the Shower (on the fence because of the LHCF ladies LOL)
Banana Coconut
Cinnabun
.......ofcourse not ALL at the same time.

:wallbash: I meant to say cupcake, not cake batter! Try it out and see if you like it. I'm a fiend for dessert smells and this one just didn't do it for me.

Here are the scents that I have within arms reach of my computer:

Farmers Market Baby bib
peppermint cream
lemongrass green tea
passionfruit nectarine
frankincence
hot buttered rum
berry vanilla
Sands of Morocco :nono:
cupcake :nono:

I have a chocolate brownie scent that I sometimes mix with peppermint :lick: I got it from a brick and mortar soap store.

For butters I see 2 tsp of FO

How much butter are you using with the 2 tsp? I look forward to hearing what you find. Maybe I'll become a real mixtress!

@poochie167 and @ZebraPrintLover, I'm most def making whipped shea. Is raw shea sold at stores? Because I know lots of ladies here order from amazon. I've been eyeing the raw shea too

WhippedButterCreme, if you have ethnic store or flea markets around you they carry them.

nakialovesshoes, I wont be using butters, just a regular moisturizer base and it will be 16oz. I will use it first and see how I like the scent and if I want it stronger then I will go from there.

I am going to look around again today after I do this quiz for school to see more.

This thread is just what I needed. And free shipping- :yay:

Cucumber Melon
Sex on the Beach
Vanilla Cream
Cherry Almond

I want to add this to my growth oils to make them smell better. Maybe also to my homemade liquid spritz.

Hmm..but a $30 minimum order.

Add .5% fragrance (0.5% = 1/2 teaspoon per 16 ounces of spray moisturizing base)

I have regular cold pressed castor oil (not JBCO) but I don't like the smell. Do you think one of the vanilla/ cake batter scents can mask it?

I am not sure bc castro oil has a strong scent itself....but maybe someone will answer for you.

i wanted to attempt to make my own products for myself. So these fragrace oils are safe on the hair if i wanted to make a mist spray and moisturizing creams for my hair:yawn:

Ladies have been using them so I assume so. I personally dont look at it any differ from EO's. You make sure you dilute it well and you are fine.

I been using a "cake mix" one in my WGO/EVCO oil mixture for the last past week and havent had any issues. I do M&S though also....

^ LOL!! Yes ma'am I will. I lurve having sexy scented hair. Menzfolk go crazy over yummy scented hair... :spinning::lol:

I'll let you know how soon the order comes in! I'm trying to decide if I want to just add the oils to some jojoba oil I have, or order some raw shea butter and doctor it up. I love sprays and thick creams for my huir. :lick: The scents I purchased were:

-buttercream
-green apple
-cherry vanilla

I'll let you ladies know how fast shipping is and what they smell like. :yep:

@WhippedButterCreme, I was like huh Menzfolk? Then I said it slowly and bust out laughing LOL.
Why not just add the FO to something you know your hair already likes? Like the sprays and thick creams, as you mentioned above.
If you dont want to add it to your already scented products they have bases online that you can add it to.

are these fragrance oils or essential oils?

@toinette, bolded above :yep:.

I gotta get off of this site! I'm already at about $30 on 1oz scents. I wonder if I can add a few drops to my sulfur mix?

@ReignLocks, which one you on? What scents you looking at?
And I dont see why not, ppl add EO to their sulfur mix.
