Ladies,
Why did I go for my normal blow-out on saturday(2nd time) and get the S%*t burnt outta my neck. I have a disease that makes me numb on my left side, so I did'nt feel a thing. And of course I was swinging and looking at my hair. I loved it but when I went to wrap it sat. night, my boyfreind was like did they drop the curlers on you neck. I was like WTF, she did'nt use curlers. I have a scab a little larger than a quarter, w 3 white spots, I was combing the scab w/o knowing. I put some burn creme on it. It is all red around the spot too. No draining Thank god. So you know I called her on sunday, She was like she saw a spot, but thought it was already there. Now I am not crazy, there was nothing of the sort, I had my hair in a bun all week I would have seen it. So, I wonder was it just red or what. Anyway, I don't think I 'll be going back. Bounce ain't worth burnt. Know I can't wear it up and I too embrassed to go back to my regular stylist. So I'll just nurse it back to health.
So beware of the Hot *** blow-dryers. I'don't know if the blow dryer has a setting or not.

I'm sorry that happened to you, but least it was just your neck and not your scalp! If you ever do go back, do you think wearing a scarf or having a towel around your neck would be helpful?

I don't know, If I do ever go back, when I call I'll ask does her blowdryer have a temp control on it. I am glad it was'nt my scalp, but if the heat was so intense to burn and scab my neck, what is that doing to my hair? I am going to do deep cond. treatment this weekend & try to dupilcate the results she gives with a rounder brush.

When I go to the Dominicans they NEVER blow dry my hair without putting a towel around my neck. I wouldn't give up on going to them you can either put a towel there or just go to another one. The blow dryers are hot but I have never heard of this happening to anyone and I go every week but always have a towel around my neck. You can also ask them to turn down the blower. They will do that if you ask.

Sorry about your burn. I have a big scab on my neck also, but my burn is from being in the sun....either way, I feel your pain. Did the lady know that you were numb? The lady may have figured you would say something if it was burning. Blow dryers will definitely burn you. Keep putting the burn creme on it and hopefully it will heal soon.

Nope, she did'nt know I was numb. I guess it dawn on me to tell her cause I have never had this happen before. I hope it will heal so I can wear my hair up. It is so humid outside.
