I got my hair pressed 2 weeks ago for my wedding by a professional using those curlers in the oven and I just washed it out last night and all I could smell in the shower was a strong, strong smell of burnt hair :(...My hair seems to be in good condition, I can't see any damage but that smell really freaked me out...I usually only straighten my hair myself with a ceramic flat iron...I've had my hair pressed in the salon many times before though and I never experinced this...Anyone else dealt with those or know why that would happen? I mean the smell was very strong :( T>I>A

I haven't ever experienced this. ooooooo......doesn't sound very good. I would step up the protein and moisture for a couple of weeks.

It sounds like slight heat damage. I know that smell all too well. IA w/ajargon02 and step up the protein and moisture. It's good your hair isn't breaking or anything but as a preventative measure I would baby my hair extra good and do some PSing to minimize any damage.
