For those of you who flat iron, and then give yourself some curl with said iron, how do you keep those curls/bumps in your hair all night?

I have some Garnier fructis molding creme, and some Elasta QP spritz, but I don't want to put it on my hair while ironing.

What is the best way to go about this?

I do this every week.

I roll my hair at night. I use large satin covered foam rollers. I only use 3 or 4 rollers to just keep things bumped under.

Sometimes I need to refresh it all mid week with the Carusos.

Thanks Honeydew, this will be helpful to do after I've ironed it out.

But I am about to wash and iron, how do I keep them curls from falling tonight while I'm out?

Hey Honey Dew, Where did you get those satin foam rollers?

When I flatiron, I take the piece and pin curl. Leave the pincurls in, get dressed, do makeup, etc, etc and take pincurls out when I walk out the door. Silver clips are all over my house. :lachen:

During the week I will either pin curl or satin roller like Honeydew said.

When I wear my hair straight, with ends bumped, I do a mohawk rollerset with large magnetic rollers. It's easy to sleep on, and my end stay curled under. I can do this for about 4-5 days before I need to freshen it up.

I'm going to look into those large satin rollers, they sound comfortable.

this is what i do too. if i do flat iron in the night, i'll pincurl each section and clip it. even though i prefer to do flat ironing in the morning cuz it never looks the same when i sleep on flat-ironed hair, it loses something...

I know I'm a little late with this reply. After flat ironing, if I want curls or a bump on my ends, I use a bit of VS styling creme on my ends and roll them on magnetic rollers for a bump and flexi rods for more like a curl. It's a flexible holding creme so it holds those curls for a few days.
