Congratulations on being this month's featured person! Your hair is shiny and strong! Continued success on healthy hair!

Another post hinted at the Colourshines in your hair. If this is correct, what shade(s) do you use? If not, what brand do you use? Do you add steps or products to your regimen in order to maintain the colour?

Thanks.

Thanks for the compliment! The colour isn't as visible in my hair as it was before because I'm letting it come out naturally with each wash. I'm not maintaining it.

The shade is Ginger by Sebastians Colourshines. Let me know if you decide to try it. Alot of girls here like this product alot. I would suggest you speak with Tracy the colour board guru

Hi brh!

I think my stylist used Ginger mixed with Gleaming Copper on my hair a few months back. I really liked the result! The color was placed throughout my hair. For the summer, I would like a more highlighted effect, like yours.

I will certainly try a color look over the summer months and I will check in with Tracy as you suggested for more ideas.

Thanks a lot and all the best!

Hey MiaLi!

What color is your natural hair? BRH has some very pale natural highlights - like a very light sandy brown, almost blondish in the front and toward her ends - that was one of the reasons her Colorshines showed the way it did on her.

If your base is darker that may be the reason the Ginger and Gleaming Copper mix was not as light as you wanted. For a lighter result on your own hair (and bearing in mind your natural color, which might change the game some) you could mix the Ginger with a pale amber color called Honey Wheat. It's a pale gold. That plus the Ginger would give a nice Reddish color, with a little more gold than red if you mix them right. I'd do about 2/3 HW and 1/3 Ginger.

Anyway, whatever you decide, good luck!

Hi Tracy!

My hair is dark with brown undertones, mostly visible in sunlight. I was just reading the post you wrote to Thursday Girl when you replied! "Halo" was the perfect word to describe the color being placed all over the head. Thanks! On my next visit to the salon, I will recommend your color mix to my stylist and work from there.

Are there any products you use to extend the life of the color? How long should this look last?

I really appreciate all the suggestions. If anyone has any others, feel free to add. Thanks again!

Mia
