Broken patch=sore scalp?

I had this broken patch since Aug of 2006. It was growing a little at one point now its back to square one again

Anywhoo, I notice for the past couple of weeks, well maybe months, it's been feeling sore, like theres a little pain in that spot. Not sure how to describe it but it's making me kinda nervous. It's sad to say but i had many broken off areas before and I never had this sore feeling ever.

It's not bald but the area is about two long at best I didnt get hit in the head or anything so I'm not sure whats going on.

Does anyone know what this could mean?

I have a patch like that below my ear on the left and IDK why. It's maybe 2 inches long. It's been like that since I was relaxed. And I haven't had a perm in over 2 years.

I left out the details because I didnt want to bore yall but it started when I was natural and my hairdresser burnt that part off. I guess the comb was too hot.

I got a relaxer and it seems like its been growing and then breaking off.

I was letting my stylist relax it because it was growing a little but now I know I'm gonna tell her not to relax it and the day of my touch up I'll be putting lots of grease and conditioner to prevent any damage.

Sometimes I thinks its one of those "watched pot never boils situations" cuz I've been desperate for it to grow back.
