Broke up with my fiance

Hey ladies,

I am going through a very difficult time right now and I seek your prayers. I just broke up with my fiance. We have been seeing each other for 4.5 years and it hurts. The pain is tremendous, but I know GOD can ease this pain. Please ladies, pray for me that I will be strong and perservere and realize that GOD is my strength and HIM who I need. Thank you ladies and may God bless you all.
 
Im prayign hard for you too! that was a long time to let go... But Im glad you know that God has something better for you!

Hi sweetie,

I am soooo very sorry to hear of your loss...it is a loss. I know there are truly no words to stop what you may be feeling, but maybe I can help you see things in a way that will help you to endure it in Christ.

If you are anything like myself, you have probably asked the Lord to "clean house" in your life; You want the Lord to get rid of the junk so he can store his treasures in you. Well, sometimes when we ask this God will do what we ask, which sometimes mean he will have to make you let go of someone or something you hold very dear. But you will just have to trust that the Lord has your best in his heart with every step he takes you through.

And I have also found sometimes God moves things and people from my life so that he can clean some things up in me. And then there are "Abraham" moments, when God never intends to truly take something from me, but he wantes to test my love for him, so he will make it seem as though he's asking me to let it go. He wants to be our greatest love. It took me awhile to understand why God would take people dear to me away, but after many tears and sleepless nights I came to know HE'S the most priceless and dearest thing I have. He can do more for me than my parents, my husband, or my children. He can fill in the nooks and crannies of my life they have no idea even exist. So, if you are his please trust that he knew this day was coming and he has it all worked out for YOUR good.

May the peace of the Lord keep you and may his Holy Spirit sustain you while you endure this trial in your race. God bless you.

God has a purpose for our lives, He has one for yours, the bigger pic is something we cant see, we cant predict the future, let Him control, guide and lead. Cry your tears to Him, and seek comfort in His warm embrace, it shall be well.
 
I won't be on much tonight, considering I just got HOME from lunching today and going to see my sister and her new baby, afterwards...

But why did you break up with your fiance, hon?

Simply beautiful Cybra. I wholeheartedly agree. Keep your head up and know that God is not capable of mistakes. Just continue to trust Him, lean not to your own understanding.
 
Everything happens for a reason, and you may not see it for a while but take the contradiction as a blessing in disguise.
This is a corny quote I heard on a re-run of Happy Days late @ night on cable when I couldn't sleep, eat whatever because some guy broke me to pieces.
Right now the pain is all you think about it is greater than you, but everyday it will get smaller and then one day you will be greater than the pain.-Fonz :kiss:
 
So glad Cybra came on and responded to you. I feel the need to respond, but not sure what to say. I know about the pain--the same thing happened to me a few years ago and it was hard hard hard. But God had special plans for me and was answering a prayer that I'd been praying, though I didn't know that's what was up, nor did I understand.

I am now married to the guy I broke up with. In our case, it just wasn't our season and God wanted to put us on a path to REALLY appreciating a marriage once He gave it to us.

Of course, right now you don't know what the future is holding for you--but whatever the case--this situation will work right into it for your good. In other words, you will be blessed and you'll be taken to another wonderful level in your life and this incident right here that is hurting you so badly right now will be one of the steps needed to get you to that special place and that special blessing. You will be able to see how your special blessing could not have come without this tough situation that you are dealing with now.
