Hi ,

Can anyone tell me the difference between brittle hair and frizzy hair? :look: How would a person distinguish the difference between brittle and frizzy hair? Which is worse and how would a person be able to correct these problems? and lastly what causes hair to become dry and/or brittle?

THANKS LADIES:kiss:

I don't have brittle hair so I can't respond but I have had problems with frizzy hair. Frizzy hair is usually soft. It occurs when it is humid outside or when you been in the bathroom too long after someone has taken a shower. normally people with curly hair have problems with frizz because curls have a mind of its own. Brittle hair is temporary it should go away once the hair is taken better care of. According to my stylist who also have problem with frizzies, she says it doesn't go away. There are number of tips to reduce the frizz problem. A bad relaxer, dye, not conditioning or moisterizing hair can lead to brittle hair.

Thank you ;)

I don't think my hair is brittle either I just wanted to know the difference. I was told that they were the same thing but I knew that could not have been right. I just got done blow drying my hair (on the cool setting) and my ends were looking dry and I guess frizzy :perplexed but after I flat ironed my hair it looked alot better. :yep:

I just want to know the differences.

I am no expert, but my guess would be that frizzy hair is just, well, frizzy - I think we all probably know that look (I know my hair does...). When people say the word brittle, I think of something like peanut brittle, a candy that breaks easily. I would think that brittle hair meant hair that breaks easily (but again, I don't know for sure...).
