Brazilian hair texturizer?

has anyone heard about a brazilian texturizer that washes out in about 6 months time depending on your hair texture? One of my friends are getting it done right now as i write; just wanted more info.

its called a brazilian texturizer and i must say it looks GREAT. Supposedly this helps your hair grow due to the protein that is in the product and its supposed to just defrizz and that it washes out after 6-8 months.
My friend told me that when the hairstylist finished rinsing out her hair she told the stylist that it didn't take because her hair was still curly--its usual state. The stylist told her to relax it did take and then proceeded to blow out her hair.
I saw her and it held up in our little rain storm we had here in NY and she is a head sweater. It looked nice and shiny.
