I'm new to the board.... I've been transitioning out of my relaxer for about eight months.... I've lurked this board for about as long.... Just wanted to introduce myself.... I have plenty of questions....
My basic story: I wore relaxers for almost 30 years (so if you do the math, I was about seven years old...way too young!) I gotta say that I admire those who have mastered the art of managing relaxed hair, e.g., stretching touch-ups, co-washing, and the like. For me, I'm on a different journey now!
Thank you in advance for being so patient with me.... As my knowledge and experience grows, I hope I can be of service as many of your postings have served me. Here's my first of many questions: can anybody help with definitions for the following terms/phrases that probably wouldn't appear in a hair textbook?
Crunchy
Clump(y)
Brittle
Absorption (or lack thereof) of water and/or oil
Just "sits" on the hair
