Hi, all. After having my hair in braids for a little over a week (I had a style only meant to last a week or two for vacation), I took them out. My hair was ITCHING LIKE crazy with the braids in. What can I do about this? Is it because my hair is not accustomed to the hair? I would like to get smaller cornrows in about a week (this time they will last me at least a month-6 weeks). Any suggestions? All of the itching just makes the hair not look good to me. Which products can I use to help with the itching? Thanks

The itching is most likely an allergic reaction to the chemicals on the hair. I used to wipe my scalp with witch hazel then grease my scalp with sulfur 8 once a week and that helped tremendously.
