Braid outs and shedding during washing...

:lick:I'm loving my braid-outs right now. I wash and condition my hair every 3 days to re-braid my hair. When I wash in the shower/sink there's so much hair left in the drain stopper from my head. I even saw some tangled hair balls (not too big). :nono:

I think it's the shedded hair and maybe because the hair isn't being combed it's days worth of shedded hair. I guess my questions are; Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this normal? What should I do? Also, I get shed when washing my hair even when my hair isn't in this style so, is that even normal?

Hair sheds all the time. Humans shed an average of 50-100 hairs a day, some less, some more. It's perfectly normal for your hair to shed. If you start getting bald spots or clumps of hair coming out, go to the doctor. Otherwise, you're good.

You could detangle more (maybe before you rebraid at night) to get some of the hair out if you want.

Exactly, the same thing would happen to me. I didn't worry about it because I wasn't combing daily. It is normal shedding.
