Box Braid Color opinion

I may get box braids within the next couple months to give my hair a break. Within the past 3-4 months Ive gotten highlights twice and a good portion of my hair is blondish. I want to get black box braids but I dont want to dye my real hair black or darker right now. Idk how it will look with my real hair peeking thru and I really dont want any blonde braiding hair. Would it look alright with the black and my blondish hair?

Yes it will look fine. People do this all the time. It only looks bad when you have a terrible braider that doesn't incorporate all of your hair into the braid. Other than that go for it.
