In my quest for str8 hair during stretching,
(just finished a 12wk stretch, aiming for a 6mos stretch-to APL)
w/o
-heat,
-manipulation
-w/ gorgeous, bone straight moisturized hair
For less than 5 dollar a week routine, w/o 1 shed hair.
At first I was slathering Suave Tropical Coconut CON $1.50, on dry hair daily, secure w/ a cip, let curly ends stay out.
(On day 3 I would wash, N repeat, and do a protein tx every 2 weeks)
-and my hair got soft and str8, but would revert, at those pesky edges.
NOW, I do the same thing, except, I slather on some dollar store $2, clear protein styling gel (huge cheapest jar). It does not harden the hair.
My hair is bone str8, up in my clip, with my curly ends out. I will now, only wash once a week. And just keep repeating the process.

Also I found my vitamins to be more efficient, with the more water I drink. Currently drinking abt 1/2 gallon a day (w/propel drink pouches added).
