hi everybody! haven't been on here in a while... kind of hair depressed right now...

anyways...

Since i've become an avid label reader, i've noticed that the ingredients on many of the body washes in my stash are a lot nicer than the ones in my shampoos.

i've even taken the liberty to try some of these washes as shampoos (like Tone's Rose and Wild Coconut, which is my FAVORITE), and have had very happy results. my hair doesn't feel stripped, like it can after using a shikakai bar, or a regular shampoo.

i'm wondering...
does anyone here use body wash as a shampoo?
are there any negative effects, if the ingredients in the body wash are better for you than in most sulfate-ridden shampoos?

:scratchch

Using body wash as shampoo isn't that far off because I know someone who uses shampoo as body wash. One time, I had no shampoo whatsoever and I diluted 4 pumps of Bath and Body Works Jasmine Vanilla hand soap and my hair felt just fine. I didn't notice any negative effects.

dh was just in the hospital for some tests overnight (he's fine:grin:), and they gave him a combination body wash/shampoo to use. it was very creamy... i didn't use but he did and it was fine :yep: obviously your post is not that far of a stretch...

I reached for my Tone body wash in the shower once and used it as a shampoo. To my surprise, it worked pretty good.
