between a 1875W $24 hairdryer and say $80 (or even the $200 T3 model). My hairdryer is dying here!!!! I was thinking about walking to Sally's (hey gotta get some exercise from somewhere! since I'm on my vitamin kick) in a few......any suggestions.....

The only difference I've noted is between the really cheap ones (yes, $24 is cheap) and the expensive ones. There isn't much of a difference between the middle range and the expensive ones. The super expensive ones are all much better that the middle of the road ones.

I have a T3 that I use only for a Dominican blowout. It's the best I've ever used, in that it does not dry my hair out at all. It's also very lightweight and quiet. It's tourmaline infused, which means that it emits ions to dry the hair faster (it took 20-25 minutes off my wet head blowdrying routine, which was usually a 45 minute ordeal.) Other dryers that say they are are ionic are coated, not infused (Although I think there is another, high end dryer that is also infused...can't remember which one.)

The other issue with cheap hair dryers is that the temp gauge in the things usually go after about 6 months or so, and they can get VERY hot after that.

You also need to evaluate how often you will be using it, and how long it takes you each time. If you plan on using it every day, I would opt for a middle of the road one (50-70 dollars).

Take care!

THE PROFESSIOONALS ($80) IS MADE TO RUN ALL DAY AND NOT OVERHEAT, THE CERAMICS PUT OUT A EVEN AMOUNT OF HEAT UNLIKE THE OTHERS LOOK INSIDE
THE BARREL YOU WILL SEE SPRINGS THAT HEAT UP AND BURN HOTTER THAN CERAMICS. ALSO THE CORDS ARE LONGER TO MOVE AROUND.

Hmm...very good info here.....I just want to blow out my roots maybe once a week (possibly twice if I feel like a washing during the week)...so.....I don't need all-day power. My thing is I want a directional nozzle that's somewhat narrow so my hair isn't blowing all over the place!
