What blow dryer are you all using that really straighten your natural texture. Currently I use Conair 1875 watts with the comb attachment and it's good but I know there's others that can get the job done better.

I use the revlon paddle brush and it gets my hair pretty straight. I know some others on the board use the revair with good results too.

I had been using the babyliss extreme air with a Wahl comb attachment (purchased separately). It got my hair straight on medium heat, on highpower. I make sure I dry my ends first, which ensures root to tip staight hair. It dries very fast. Only downside is that it's kind of loud and a bit heavy.

However, the Babyliss is not as loud as my new love, the RevAir! I use it on medium heat to dry and follow with a few seconds on high heat, then seal with cold for a few seconds. My hair ends up straight and soft. I find it easier to use to dry my crown and back areas compared to using a conventional dryer with comb attachment. I also love it when I open the filter after drying and find out I only lost like 10 hairs during the whole process.

I love, love, love the RevAir!

ETA: I wear silicone earplugs when I use any kind of hair dryer, especially the RevAir, because I'm sensitive to loud noise and need to protect my hearing. And yeah, did I mention the RevAir is LOUD! lol

I always wondered how you get rid of the shed hairs and any product/heat protectant buildup from the Revair. So it has a filter that you can empty? Is it easy to clean out?

I have the RevAir also and I love it too. Yes, it has a filter that is easy to insert and easy to clean. I sit it in the dishwasher and then let it dry on the counter. I clean it after every 4 uses.

I empty it every 2nd or 3rd use. I just wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Its easy to clean.

The Revlon padde brush one does a good job of getting hair straight, as well as Yellow Bird. I like Yellow Bird better than Silver Bird for heat settings. I was not really able to get my hair straight with the Revair. Maybe I didn't try hard enough. It's quite different. But I did try several times, whereas with the others there were no failed attempts. But they are rougher on your strands than the Revair, just more manipulation
