Blended beauty, anyone???

I really like Blended Beauty. I actually use the Blended Cutie products more. The Butter Me Up is my favorite. I love the smell and it is like an all in one product for me for wash and go's. I don't need to put anything on but the Butter Me Up and I'm good to go.

I also used the Jelly Cream, it was cool but I didn't find it necessary.

The Styling Butter Cream from the Blended Beauty was too thick for me.
Kicks for Curls was okay. I didn't like it on my hair but i sprayed it on my daughters hair before putting it in ponytails and it was great.

Oh and a lot of people don't like the products/don't use them because of the owner but they work for me so I still use them because they work very well for me.

hmmm Whats up with the owner?

Girl I don't even know years ago when I first started getting on hair boards and all that, I read some stuff about her being on different boards saying some crazy stuff talking bout she ain't black and mixed people should be their own race and some other stuff.

But I don't think that's all it was. I think she said some other stuff that people found really offensive etc. I think there were some people who had interacted with her personally and they were really put off by her attitude/views.

There are some threads on here about it. People was posting stuff that she said in 1976 and stuff they had saved on floppy discs from 5 years ago. :lachen:I didn't have time to read all that.

LoL that is Crazy!
I knew People had a problem with her But over that?
Idk One day i will see what she has to offer!

Yeah...I don't know maybe it was more but I don't have time for it. All I know is my hair looks good when I use it so...

I order my stuff form Sistas Place so I have never actually interacted with her maybe if i had I'd feel differently idk.

I don't know what kind of styles your daughter wears but i feel like Blended Beauty/Cutie is good for ponytails and curly styles. You can always buy samples from http://www.sistasplace.biz/ to see if you like them. If not you wont be wasting a lot of money.

I can agree that Blended Beauty products are excellent and I've used them with much success. Kick for Curls single handedly made second day hair possible for me without looking like a rats nest. Even though I self identify as AA and have two AA parents, I never found anything that truly worked for my hair until folks started making products for the "biracial" market. I'm now primarily Ayurvedic but BB is a line I routinely recommend over some others out there like Curls and Miss Jessie's.

I don't know her personal views or whether she does not want to be associated with Blacks as some claim. That seems like it would be a rejection of half of what makes her who she is. Recently she has expanded her line to have products aimed at kinkier textures so who's to say that her views have not changed as she matures. As long as I've known about BB, their tags and site descriptions have always mentioned "afro" hair as a type she caters to and her hair type chart has included types 2-4 hair. The fuss may be just another case of hypersensitivity.

I love the happy nappy styles and the curly frizz pudding. It makes my daughter's hair feel like BUTTA BABY! I just placed an additional order.

wow, that sounds crazy:perplexed

I've tried the Curl Quenching conditioner and loved it. I've tried the hair oil. It was ok. I think I've tried some kind of styling cream that was ok. Some people don't like the smell of her products though. When I first smelled them, I didn't like them, but the smell quickly grew on me. Oh yeah, I've tried the Soy Cleansing Milk stuff, but didn't like it that much. I would like it more if it lathered just a little more.

I'm going to try her products in the future. But in the meantime, enjoy 15% off by using the code: christmas (the C might be capitalized but I don't feel like checking my email LOL)

I have the whole line. Sistasplace.biz had this wonderful sale this summer and I bought the rest of BB but didn't use it yet. I do like the line so far though.
