Black soap powder for shampoo

Has anyone ever heard of or used black soap powder as a shampoo?

I've heard praises of black soap (never used it though), but didn't know that it comes in a powder & can be used as a shampoo/body wash.

I stumbled across a website that sells African black soap & powder- says you add H2O to the powder & get body wash, shampoo, etc. They also had coconut milk powder. Makes sense for shipping purposes.

I'm so intrigued that I bought some.
