I just got a sample bottle of this. How is this used? Is it mainly for using when heat styling, or what???

Thanks!!

I used to use it on my hair but I found it only worked when I had a fresh touchup.
Now I use it on my skin(the bottle says u can) and it makes it sooo smooth.

i use it on my wet hair..make it incredibly soft. and when i went to press my hair, i blow dry it straight first...take a small section of hair, apply a small amount of the silk therapy on the section (make sure u get the ends good) and press it. it presses really fast and ur hair will turn out extra soft. i love this stuff!

kookysncream,

When you use this on wet hair, do you let it air dry from there? How does it turn out? Thank you.

I've used this before too. After my hair is set, dried, and brushed, I add a small amount and it makes it soft and shiny. And doesn't add any weight at all to your curls.

Also in case anyone is interested there is a knockoff version of this called Professional Silk Treatment. I got it from Walmart for about 3 dollars.
I think the ingredients are the same:
Cyclomethicone, Dimethiconol, SD Alcohol 40-B, Silk Amino Acids, Ginger Root extract, Lotus Corniculatus Flower Extract, Green Tea extract, Vit E acetate and fragrance...

Kookysncream I plan on using it next time I flat iron my hair. It is supposed to be good at keeping hair from reverting. Would you say it helped you after using it when pressing?

OK I lied the ingredients are not the same.

Here are the Biosilk ingredients:
Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone, SD Alcohol 40B, Panthenol, Ethyl Ester of Hydrolyzed Silk, Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Fragrance, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben

in reply to Supergirl's question: it makes my hair incredibly soft. almost like silk

in reply to Valleygirl's question: yes it definitely helps hair from reverting. smooth and silky. a couple weeks ago i went to a party, and i wanted a wavy look so i applied a small amount to the section and waved it with my waving iron and it stayed...it looked really good. I LOVE this product.

I like the smell, but it did not perform very well for my needs. I did not find it moisturizing.

I mailed the remainder to a friend.

I now use the Hairobics products, which give my hair shine and moisture.

I have not used BioSilk in a long time, but I used it the same way Xtal did - applying a small amount before styling after a roller set.
