Wow, 93:clap:!
I visited the Billy Graham Training Center in NC last week where I met his grandson Will as well as some other sisters and brothers in Christ. I remember wondering why my mom and family members were watching him on TV as a child:confused::yep:. Then I grew up and life happened. Now I know why they were listening. This man was telling the TRUTH plain and simple:yep:.

Evangelist Billy Graham, who has been in failing health in recent years, was admitted to a North Carolina hospital Wednesday with possible pneumonia.

Graham, 93, was admitted to Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C., for treatment and observation of his lungs, according to a statement released by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Assn. in Charlotte, N.C. The Southern Baptist minister was alert, smiling and waving at hospital staff upon arrival, the statement said.

Graham’s personal physician, Lucian Rice, told the association that the evangelist’s condition is stable. The pulmonologist treating Graham, Mark Hellreich, said he is being tested for possible pneumonia, according to the association.

Larry Ross, Graham’s spokesman, told the Charlotte Observer that Graham recently developed a cough, congestion and slight fever. After hospital tests, doctors decided to keep him overnight for observation, Ross said.

Graham was hospitalized for successful treatment of pneumonia in May. After his release, he resumed physical therapy and normal daily activities -- including finishing his 30th book, "Nearing Home," according to his staff. His daughter told NPR last month that Graham, who began conducting evangelistic crusades in 1948, had recently been placed on oxygen therapy.

No discharge date has been set. Graham’s association said he is looking forward to spending Christmas with his family at his home in Montreat, near Asheville.

Shortly after the association released its statement, its website received 106 comments, most of them from people praying for Graham’s recovery.

Happy birthday Billy!

I grew up watching his Billy's crusades I loved that he never felt the need to embellish the word his message was simple and yet when George Beverly Shea would starting to sing at the end of thousands of lives would never be the same again. It is eerie how similar his son is preaching style is to his especially given that he is a clone of his father.

 Praying for him... :yep:

My only issue with Billy Graham is hints of racism. He's a member of a private club that does not allow Black members. And he also refused to meet and pray with Obama. I'm bothered that a man of God would be a part of something like that. if anything he should denounce it.

I'd be bothered by that as well. What kind of club was it? I'm thinking that perhaps his age and ongoing health issues prevented him from meeting with President Obama. He's been ill for a while. He's also had several falls which kept him from being as mobile.

And these are just my thoughts. No dispute with what you've shared.

:bighug:

Just my thoughts. Okay? :yep:

Lol I know. The club was your basic country club. And apparently he was well Aware of the membership policy regarding Blacks. With the Obama thing, this was the first time Graham hadn't done it in YEARS. He's been in poor health for a while. At least feeble. It just made me kind of sad to see him do that to our nation's first Black president.

When? I cannot find any data to support this.:ohwell:

Disclaimer- Not being controversial but seeking truth:
Where did you get this info from? From what I understand his health has prevented him from going to see the prez so the prez actually went to him. I know Franklin was refused an invitation to a prayer event after the president and event organizers would not allow him to pray in the name of Jesus and to declare that the only way to salvation is through repentance/ rebirth in Jesus. At least that's the info I received.:perplexed When was the country club thing? Recently? I do know that like many others he seemed complacent for years regarding segregation and seemingly did not act until later in the process but for those whose walk appears to have been changed (all we can do is examine their fruit) I think of these passages from Titus 3-

3For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

So, I'm not being obstinate:nono:. I just like truth/proof. TBH, if I found out he was a closet skinhead tomorrow, it would not effect my relationship with God one iota.:yep:
