I just colored my hair with Bigen Blue Black this weekend for the second time. The instructions on the box say to comb the color through the hair, and that's what I did. When I washed it out, I had a lot of shedding and now my hair looks thinner, and I'm wondering if I should not have combed it through. The last time I used it, I don't think I combed my hair with the dye in it.
So...how do you ladies apply. Even though I did what the box says, I want to make sure I didn't do anything wrong.

When I used it, I just smoothed it through almost like I do my relaxer. I dont comb through, I'd be too scared to do that.

I never comb through either- but maybe because I'm always like 9 or10 weeks post when I do it. i'm always afraid all the area won't take because of the naps, but it always does.

For right now, Dr up your hair with some protein, to get it back strong.

My hair is natural 4a/b, so you know there is no way I could comb it through. I usually just apply with the applicator brush and rub it through with my fingers.

:)

Thanks for the comments :)
Right now, my hair is very shiny and black. It's not dry at all, and it's not breaking or shedding. It just looks much thinner, from all of the hair that shed during the washing process :( . My bf even said it looks thinner, I want to cry. I need to figure out what I can do to thicken it back up :perplexed .
