Big sins vs little sins

Is there such a thing. I always thought that a sin is a sin. Lying is no better than adultery. What are you ladies viewpoints?

I too think a sin is a sin. However I get confused when talk of the "7 deadly sins", they give me the impression that those are the greatest sins of all, like your def. going straight to hell if you commit 1 of them. I'm still learning the Bible though, I'm no expert

Sin is Sin. But we like to make ourself feel better by thinking...oh this is just a small thing.

Sin is sin, if you miss the mark you miss the mark. Its interesting tho, if you read the 7 deadly sins, the ones that are an abomination to God, they are "attitude" sins, relationship sins. Not the ones folx are known to harp on like fornication, drunkeness, homosexuality. The only thing that will send you straight to hell is not accepting Christ.

I agree sin is sin

But it's jacked up to think that I'd be in just as much trouble if I took a stapler from work, made love with the man I love or cursed someone out as I would if I murdered an old lady or raped a child, or burned down my neighbors house.

No. I've seen this discussed in several other threads before.

Sin is sin, I think people tend to get confused with the laws of the land versus the laws of the Lord...People seem to think that for instance fornication isnt a big deal because its not against the law but murder is a big deal because you can go to jail for it.
People stand in judgement all the time over someone elses sin (like a murderers) but think they are better because they only lie, but they are the same in Gods eyes

Sin is sin...Although I believe some sins have greater reprocutions. You "reap what you sow." Although, the ULTIMATE consequence of ALL sin is death...
