BIG CHOPPERS

My tummy is twirling every time I think of it but I'm trying to get myself ready for the BC; I am sure my hair would benefit from less stress at the demarcation line. I will not go to some cruel behind beauty salon. I will be going to a barber for it. I initially wanted to do it this month but decided to have twist extensions until the end of summer then BC the end of August then have natural twists only. I want to know about your experiences at the barber and how does one decide how much to cut once in that chair?

Mine was terrible. He insisted on cutting it dry (though it was straightened). There wasn't too much harm done, but I had to go home with the scissors and finish all of the dead ends...if you decide to go to a barber, make sure that your hair is in its natural state so that he can see where to cut.

Also, if I had it to do over, I'd have transitioned longer. The shock of hair that was both short AND kinky was a real hit.
