That's why I don't use the clips. Those things will pull your hair as you take them out. Plus they get hot as hell. I only use long bobby pins. If you ever decide to rollerset give those a try.
Yes, I have hair at the crown that's like 3 inches from using the clips to harshly.
You have to be really careful and place them in gently. I was too rough when I first learned how to rollerset and I broke my hair off. Also I anchored the rollers together and that didn't help.
It's been a few months now and my hair is growing back and I haven't had that problem again. I love my rollersets and I can't see me ever stopping.
That's exactly why I don't use them either! I use the plastic version of the metal clips for rollersetting because I find that inserting metal anything in my hair is like inserting a pair of scissors in my hair that snips and snaps off my hair strands!
I agree. I have never used the metal clips when I roller set, it just feels like it would rip through my hair. I don't even use the long bobby pins. I simply use the rollers with the plastic clip on to secure the roller.
