Best permanent color for natural hair?

Hello all,
Does anyone have recommendations for a good permanent color for natural hair?
I did the "Big Chop" last March. I have 6.5 inches of hair all around, and I'm bored to with my jet black hair. hair.

are you talking about a brand or an actual colour. if you mean brand i recommend goldwell. a lot of ladies on this board use sebastians. i've also heard good things about clairols textures and tones.
creme of nature also have a range of permanent hair colours and so does affirm

i decided to use textures and tones after a lot of women on NP seemed to be fans of it. i must say...I LOVE IT! i havent experienced any problems such as dryness..etc ( i used the cherrywood color)
