Best Paddle/Vent Brush for Straightening?

What style and brand of straightening brushes do you ladies have the most success with? I picked up a vent brush from Sally's a few months back, but I soon realized that my hair does NOT like brushes with balls on the ends of the bristles no matter how well I detangle beforehand.

Suggestions?

I need to know this too. My blowdryer always bends and melts my bristles so I can only use the brush once.

Vented brushes with plastic bristles like those don't work for me... They just tangle in my hair & don't play nicely with the blowdryer. Instead, I use round, natural bristle brushes, here's a couple of my favorites:

Luxor Pro Tourmaline Boar Round Brush

I part my head into manageable sections, and bantu knot to keep them out of the way. Then I use smaller diameters to get my roots straight first, then larger diameter brushes to quickly finish the rest.

When I'm done, it looks like this:

The Denman Thermoceramic Straightening Brush seems to be a favorite too ... it's a bristle brush so no balls or pins on the ends and the unique design may be better for holding the hair taught while blow drying or flat ironing

I have one is my stash but never got a chance to use it ... i'll try it when my hair grows back out again

** ETA: In fact while reading the reviews it appears that those with kinkier hair prefer to use this brush while flat ironing (instead of blow drying) to hold their ends taught (for the chase method)

I like this one Conair 88016 Infiniti Tourmaline-ionic Manual Hair Brush. It's vented and padded and has a nice give for drying natural hair.

I have a goody paddle brush that I got from Walmart. I got my hair the straightest it's ever been by blowdrying with that brush, just last night. But that one has balls on the end.

I have a round brush with bristles that I use for DD's blow outs. Again, I think it's just a cheap one from walmart.
