So I know some of these expensive DC's are probably great and all, but are they really worth it? Are the cheapies just as effective? What are some of the best cheap DC's you've used?

I consider brands like Suave, Vo5 and White Rain the 'cheapie' conditioners. The price is right, but unfortunately, they just don't work for me.

I love love love Aubrey Organics and Giovanni Cosmetics lines of conditioners. I can purchase them for under $7 on websites like Vitacost, iHerb, Vitaglo, etc. They provide more bang for my buck, have a higher quality of ingredients, and a little goes a long way. :yep:

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle is a staple DC for many people. Even when I go to other DCs, I always return to this one. It's like $4.00.

CrecePelo: the 16 oz jar is around $8, I buy the 28 oz for $12.

And while not a DC, Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship conditioner is very very very nice as well. The regular drug-store sized bottle is $4 (I think, I bought it on sale) but I've heard Target and Walmart sell larger sizes.

GVP Conditioning Balm at Sally's

First silicone free DC I ever used. I have 10 bottles of it in my stash as we speak. Yep, its just that good :yep: and :lick:.

Its about 5 or 6 bucks for a 16 oz bottle. However its thick so a little goes a very long way, especially it you like to add oil, honey, glycerin or other DC additives like that.

Aubrey Organics- can usually find them on sale at The Vitamin Shoppe
Eden Body Works jojoba Monoi dc found at Walmart for 10.00

Organic root stimulator replenishing conditioner. Best DC I've ever used. The 12oz bottle is like 8-9 bucks.

I second this.

For the silicone free girls - Tresemme Naturals Moisturising Conditioner. It's $5 dollars or so, add in some warm honey and some olive oil and it DC's wonderfully. Works just as well as my pricy ones.

+1 for Aubrey Organics. I have a hard time finding inexpensive DCs that free from silicone, parabens and mineral oil. As soon as they are free of silicone they throw parabens in the mix :nono:
